Australian authorities are reportedly “demanding answers” after a Queensland native who died in Bali, Indonesia, was repatriated back to Australia without his heart. It certainly sounds extremely upsetting, although it is not yet clear if this was due to foul play, a miscommunication, or negligence on the part of either the Indonesian or Australian authorities. The issue began when 23-year-old Byron Haddow was found floating in a plunge pool in his rented villa in Bali while on holiday in May, and his body was sent for an autopsy at the family’s request before being returned to Australia.
