A group of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) are demanding Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing to resign as Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) immediately.
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the delegation gathered in front of the MOTAC office, led by Selangor PAS Deputy Youth Chief Dr Aubidullah Fahim.

The delegation also demanded a public apology from Tiong to Malaysians over the issue of alcoholic beverages being served at the Global Travel Meet 2025 Gala Dinner.
“We feel humiliated and very disappointed with the organisers who openly served alcohol at the Global Travel Meet 2025 Gala Dinner. This action is clearly a provocation and an insult to Islam,”
“Serving alcohol at an official event is contrary to the Federal Constitution and existing laws,” he said.
They urged MACC to investigate the event
Aubidullah also demanded that the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) conduct a detailed investigation into the organisation, funding and actual expenditure of the event.
“There must be an investigation and exposure so that the people know who is behind what happened. We want Ministers to resign, not government or agency directors,” he added.
