PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested five men, including two foreigners, for kidnapping two brothers on Monday.
Kuala Langat police chief Ahmad Ridhwan Nor @ Saleh said they received a report about the kidnapping from the victims’ sister at 8.45am on the day of the incident, Sinar Harian reported.
According to the 29-year-old woman, several unknown men broke into their home, armed with iron rods at around 7am.
The men called her brothers to come out and took them away.

“Two of the local suspects, aged 22 to 31, were found to have multiple prior convictions. The third local suspect, 21, and the two foreign suspects, aged 35 and 37, have a clean record."
During the arrests, Ridhwan said police seized a vehicle, which was reported stolen in Klang, and burglary tools as well as stolen items.
He said the motive behind the kidnapping was linked to the victims’ refusal to replace a vehicle they had borrowed from one of the suspects.
Ridhwan said with the arrests, police hope to solve a runaway case, five break-ins in Kuala Langat and a vehicle theft case in Klang.
All suspects will be brought to court tomorrow to be remanded.
