Ever since his appointment as Transport Minister, Anthony Loke has been putting in WORK in order to improve the various aspects of the Malaysian transport system.

Among the things he’s done so far, he’s been performing random and undercover spot checks of LRT and KTM, and Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS). Well, he’s back at it again.

The latest transportation hub he’s checking out is the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2), where he found much room for improvement.

Taking to his official Facebook page, he wrote, “This morning (December 28), before I launched the ‘fixed fare midnight flights’ at Red Q, AirAsia, I did a spot-check at KLIA2. My purpose this morning was to see the situation at the public transport hub at Level 1, KLIA2, after receiving feedback from the public.”

“There are some weaknesses especially in the e-hailing waiting room that needs to be improved. One of them is the uneven lanes due to the soil deposits, that can be dangerous for users.”

“The management has appointed a contractor and the upgrading work will be carried out at the end of January. The lighting system will also be improved so that the situation at night is brighter,”

“I invite all stakeholders to always strive to improve the facilities and cheer up the user experience at our airports,” he added.

It’s truly amazing to see our Ministers putting in the effort to enhance services for the people. We can’t wait to see just how much Anthony Loke is going to do during his term as Transport Minister.
