Anti-criminality drive yields P1.2M illegal drugs

EASTERN Police District’s (EPD) stepped-up campaign against illegal drugs has yielded more than P1.2 million worth of illicit drugs and the arrest of a high-value target and street-level drug personalities.

BGen. Melecio Buslig Jr. said the EPD also increased its responsibility to protect innocent civilians from several fugitives, including most-wanted persons.

He said he focused on strengthening police operations, enforcing discipline, and ensuring that the residents of Pasig, Marikina, Mandaluyong, and San Juan could feel the presence of their police officers where it matters most — in the streets and in their communities.

“I have consistently reminded my personnel that the badge represents honor, integrity, professionalism and accountability, saying that the police force earns public trust, treating every citizen with fairness and respect,” he said.
