KENINGAU: The State Government will table a Bill to amend the State Constitution relating to anti-party hopping in a special State Legislative Assembly sitting soon.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said, the State Cabinet has agreed to bring the matter to the State Assembly after the Dewan Rakyat passed a Federal constitutional amendment that prevents elected representatives from changing parties, recently.
“The move is in line with the State Government’s commitment to creating political stability in Sabah after facing an uncertain political situation for a long time,” he said when officiating the Keningau GRS Tour, here, Sunday.
