
PRIME MINISTER Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has lauded the leadership of Thailand’s newly appointed Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, describing it as pivotal to steering the country through its next democratic chapter.
In a message posted on Facebook, Anwar extended his congratulations to Anutin, who was formally confirmed as Thailand’s 32nd prime minister on Sunday following royal endorsement.
“Heartiest congratulations to Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on being chosen to lead Thailand at this critical juncture,” said Anwar.
“Malaysia looks forward to continuing close cooperation in developing our shared border, advancing trade, and improving the welfare of our peoples,” he added.
Anwar also noted Thailand’s key role in maintaining regional stability within ASEAN.
