Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim extends Easter greetings, urging Malaysians to nurture shared human values and build a compassionate society.

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended warm Easter greetings to the Christian community in Malaysia.

In a Facebook post, Anwar stated that the celebration, which carries the meaning of resurrection, serves as a profound call to renew the soul and conscience.

He emphasised that in facing contemporary challenges, the sacred occasion reminds everyone that core human values must not be eroded by differences.

“Instead, these values must continue to be nurtured as the foundation of civilisation, by embracing, including and humanising one another,” he said.

The Prime Minister further expressed his hope that Easter would inspire hope, refine character, and spread compassion across the nation.

He added that the celebration should strengthen the collective resolve to build a society that is compassionate, resilient, just and magnanimous.
