KUCHING, Sept 11 - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim confirmed receiving an invitation from Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha on September 15.
Anwar said the summit will discuss the latest developments in Palestine’s Gaza and brutal Zionist attacks on the territory, which he described as excessive.
However, Anwar stressed he will be in the country for the Malaysia Day celebration in Penang on September 16.
Speaking to reporters after attending a meeting with the Sarawak Parti Keadilan Rakyat Leadership Council here today, he said Malaysia’s position on Gaza is based on universal humanitarian values.
