KUALA LUMPUR - Prime Minister and PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today launched Temu Fikrah, a new publication by the PKR Youth wing (AMK), calling on the party’s younger generation to view political power as a test of moral integrity rather than an opportunity for celebration.
Unveiled in conjunction with the PKR National Congress 2026 at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), the 113-page book authored by AMK Chief Muhammad Kamil Ahmad Munim and AMK Executive Committee Member Ashraf Ahmad Hadi outlines the movement’s strategic vision for addressing modern challenges.
Writing in the publication’s foreword, Anwar highlighted Temu Fikrah as a timely release that aligns with the adoption of the Malaysia Madani framework as the nation’s core administrative philosophy.
He stressed that the Madani framework was neither mere technocratic rhetoric nor a seasonal political slogan, but a form of civilisational renewal aimed at re-humanising national development.
“Madani strikes a balance between physical progress and spiritual purity, while anchoring the principles of justice, compassion, sustainability and respect in the country’s governance,” Anwar said.
Power as a responsibility
Addressing delegates, Anwar issued a stern reminder to youths and AMK members regarding the responsibilities of being in government. He cautioned against complacency, warning that the trust placed in them today requires piety and strict moral boundaries.
Rebuilding a nation scarred by past injustices and financial leakages, he noted, demands extraordinary creativity, intellectual courage, and spiritual resilience from the young generation.
The PKR chief welcomed Temu Fikrah as a manifestation of intellectual enlightenment, expressing hope that its contents would move beyond the page and be translated into tangible service for the rakyat at the grassroots level.
Designed as an AMK cadre-building resource, the publication aims to help members appreciate the history of the reform movement, understand party foundations, and internalise the core meaning of “Reformasi.”
Tracing the trajectory from the birth of the Reformasi movement to the formation of PKR, the book explores key policy frameworks, youth activism, and humanistic values to help shape principled members capable of upholding the party’s struggle. - August 16, 2026
