KAJANG, Nov 25 ― Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has left his residence for Bangunan Perdana Putra, Putrajaya this morning to commence his duty as the 10th Prime Minister today.

The Tambun member of Parliament wearing a pink baju Melayu complete with sampin came out of his residence in Sungai Long here at 9.28am with police escorts.

Also accompanying him at the door just before he left his residence was his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

On coming out of the house, Anwar waved to media personnel present and informed them he is starting work today.

Yesterday, Anwar, 75, took his oath as the nation’s 10th Prime Minister after being named by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. ― Bernama
