Oh, how very reassuring it is to know that the political temperature in the country will be miraculously cooled down by the victory of Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, the MB of Terengganu, in a recently concluded Kemaman parliamentary by-election.
I mean, who needs policies and actual solutions when you can just rely on the "moderate image" of a political leader?
Anwar's profound insight into Samsuri's personality and attitude, which apparently distinguishes him from the extremists in his party (PAS), is truly enlightening for Malaysians everywhere.
Because, you know, winning a by-election is a surefire indicator of one's commitment to moderation and not just a political manoeuvre.
It is heartwarming to witness how this victory has provided “at least, some relief.”
"This is because he (Samsuri) carries an image of a moderate leader unlike his colleagues in Pas who are way more extremist," Anwar told reporters when he commented on the results.
I am sure all the pressing issues facing the nation will magically disappear now that we have a leader with a moderate image.
Forget about substantive debates and policy discussions; let us just bask in the soothing glow of moderate vibes generated by this new hero of Kemaman.
Anwar's optimism is truly contagious. Who would have thought that a single individual winning a by-election could be the panacea for the country's political woes?
Thank you, Anwar, for showing us the way to utopia through the wondrous victory of Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.
We can not wait to see him in action in Parliament where he might be able to offer some "relief" to the endless uproar created by members of the opposition.
