CYBERJAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim says he is unaware of the alleged raid that the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) conducted at opposition leader Hamzah Zainudin’s home this week.
“That’s up to the Inland Revenue Board and the investigative authorities. I was not informed,” Anwar told reporters after performing his Friday prayers here.
A Perikatan Nasional (PN) source told FMT yesterday that a few documents were seized by the authorities in the raid on PN secretary-general Hamzah’s house in Damansara.
Another source claimed that the raid on Wednesday night “failed to unearth” anything negative.

The former home minister later denied being involved in a RM15 million corruption case after his name was mentioned in corruption charges against businessman Sim Choo Thiam.
Sim was charged in May with demanding RM15 million from another businessman, Hep Kim Hong, sometime in June 2021.
The prosecution said the sum was meant as an inducement for Hamzah to assist Hep’s company, Asia Coding Sdn Bhd, to secure projects from his ministry.
Sim was also slapped with three other charges of receiving RM15 million to secure projects from the home ministry. He pleaded not guilty to all four charges.
Hamzah later questioned why his name was being mentioned, claiming that they were “accusations deliberately fabricated in such a way to drag my name into matters that do not directly involve me”.
