Prime Minister and PKR president Anwar Ibrahim calls for unity and hard work within the party leadership during a Johor meeting
JOHOR BAHRU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders to maintain a strong work ethic and unity.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with about 1,000 party members, the PKR president emphasised the need for cohesive teamwork to advance the party’s struggle.
He delivered the simple directive “Work hard… work hard as one team” when asked about his earlier address to Johor PKR leaders.
The event was also attended by PKR Wanita chief Fadhlina Sidek, Johor PKR chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa and state party secretary Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar.
Separately, Anwar declined to comment on the dismissal of Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin as Bersatu deputy president.
He stated that he did not wish to interfere in the internal matters of another political party.
Hamzah was expelled from Bersatu on Friday for violating Clause 9.1.4 of the party’s constitution.
The decision was made by the Bersatu Disciplinary Board in accordance with Clause 22.5 of the same constitution.
