KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has instructed the relevant parties, including Federal Territories Minister Hannah Yeoh, to expedite the refurbishment of the abandoned Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) quarters in Sungai Besi to provide housing.
“I have already asked for the refurbishment to be expedited, and Hannah Yeoh is also involved, to expedite the recovery so that we can provide housing,” he told reporters after visiting the TUDM quarters in Sungai Besi here today.
The TUDM Sungai Besi quarters, formerly part of the Kuala Lumpur Air Base, have been abandoned and unoccupied since the air base’s operations were fully relocated to Sendayan Air Base in Negeri Sembilan in 2018.
