Apple CEO Tim Cook makes final pledge to fans as he steps down after 15 years

Tim Cook said it has been the “honor of a lifetime” to work at Apple as he steps down from the CEO role after 15 years.

Mr Cook took over after Apple co-founder Steve Jobs stepped down for health reasons shortly before his death in 2011.

Speaking at the company’s main keynote address on Monday (8 June), where the business also unveiled their new Siri AI tool, the 65-year-old said that he “truly believes the best is still ahead.

“It's been the honor of a lifetime to help advance that mission with teams whose creativity, care, and conviction continue to make a lasting difference in people's lives.”
