Apple Music Replay ’25 is out – Apple’s annual year-in-review feature is back, and this time it is also bringing upgrades. But before all that, if you wonder what’s the most popular song in Apple Music this year, that title goes to ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, both collaborated for “APT.” that made waves globally as the trendsetting hit since its release in October 2024.
New On Replay ’25

The latest version is now integrated directly into the Apple Music app and presents consolidated data such as minutes played, most-streamed artists, genre preferences, and long-term listening streaks. It also includes new insights into discovery of new artists (Discovery), recurring listening patterns (Loyalty), and returns of previously played acts (Comebacks). Users can access monthly highlights and revisit their historical yearly playlists, including Replay All Time, which compiles the songs they have streamed the most since joining the service.
For artists, Replay ’25 for Artists introduces expanded performance data, offering listenership growth figures and year-over-year comparisons in addition to established metrics such as total listeners, geographic distribution, top tracks, Shazam identifications, radio spins, chart positions, and playlist placements.
Apple Music 2025 Review

We just mentioned ROSÉ and Bruno Mars’ single “APT.” as the most popular song of 2025, but this song didn’t just snatch one particular global ranking either – it also leads under Top 100 in Shazam, Global Radio, and Lyrics lists, while maintaining second place in the Sing category. Additional entries in the Global Top 100 include “luther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA, “Die With A Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, “Not Like Us” by Kendrick Lamar, and “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” by Billie Eilish.
The 2025 charts highlight strong showings from emerging and established artists. Gracie Abrams and Alex Warren make their first year-end Top 10 appearances, while Morgan Wallen records 12 entries in the Top 100. Tyler, The Creator, Apple Music’s 2025 Artist of the Year, appears on the year-end chart with “Sticky.” Kendrick Lamar and SZA both achieve multiple placements, including collaborative tracks such as “luther” and “30 For 30.”
Several songs gained traction through radio and virality, including Lola Young’s “Messy,” which ranks No. 2 on Shazam and No. 3 on Global Radio. Older releases also resurfaced through renewed listener interest, such as Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know” and the Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.” KPop Demon Hunters – another 2025 smash hit in the form of a Hallyu-inspired animated movie – has its “Golden” secured positions across the Lyrics and Sing charts and maintained a lengthy streak atop the Daily Top 100 earlier in the year.
Global ranking aside, how does Malaysia’s charts look like? According to Apple Music, our Top 10 is, unsurprisingly, led by “APT.”, followed by Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile,” Billie Eilish’s “WILDFLOWER” and “BIRDS OF A FEATHER,” and Tenxi, Jemsii, and Naykilla’s “Garam & Madu (Sakit Dadaku).” The national list further includes further entries from Kendrick Lamar & SZA (luther), the KPop Demon Hunters ensemble (Golden), Fourtwnty (Mangu feat. Charita Utami), Jennie (like JENNIE), and Nadeera (Bukan Lagi Kita).
