Kota Kinabalu: Amanah Perpaduan Sabah (APS) said the Ministry of Education’s directive to organise “Palestine Solidarity” week should be retracted to prevent it from becoming wild fire.
“The directive by the Ministry is not well thought of in terms of its long-term repercussion on young minds,” said APS President Datuk Seri Wilfred M Bumburing.
He said the directive sets a dangerous precedent in the education system of the country where children are dragged into international geopolitics.
“This kind of activity can easily go overboard. The worst worry is that the unfortunate misguided emotion instilled in the young minds will be deflected into the multi-racial society of Malaysia.
