Customers are being urged not to eat a protein pudding and to return it for a full refund, in a recall prompted by fears the product may contain glass.
The Food Standards Agency issued the advice as Arla Foods Ltd pulled three 200g flavours of its Arla Protein Pudding from shelves, saying “these products may contain glass which makes them unsafe to eat”.
The affected varieties are chocolate, salted caramel and vanilla cookie.
Arla Foods Ltd has recalled the products, according to the notice announcing the withdrawal.
Chocolate puddings carrying best before dates of 11 January 2027, 18 January 2027, 20 January 2027 and 6 February 2027 are covered by the recall.
Four salted caramel batches are also affected, with best before dates of 21 January 2027, 23 January 2027, 31 January 2027 and 2 February 2027.
A single vanilla cookie pudding batch with the best before date of 25 January 2027 has also been recalled.
The items are being withdrawn as a “precautionary measure” due to the “possible presence of glass”, the product recall notice says.
It adds: “Arla apologises to consumers affected and understands the concern this may have caused.”
Anyone who has bought one of the puddings can take it back to the shop where it was purchased for a full refund, the Food Standards Agency said.
