KOTA KINABALU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah deputy secretary general Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali supports Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin’s push for Barisan Nasional (BN) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to contest separately in the upcoming state election.

“I agree with Bung. Let BN and GRS face off. His stand must be respected as Sabah Umno chief,” said Armizan at press conference in Kota Belud today.

He called it the best way to determine each party’s true strength.

On federal ties, Armizan stressed that the Unity Government MoU does not require cooperation to extend to state level, noting similar clashes had occurred in Sabah, Johor, and Melaka.

“Let the people decide. Collaboration or not, it shouldn’t be a prolonged debate,” he said.
