Veteran Kapuso broadcaster Arnold “Igan” Clavio has filed a cyberlibel complaint against Mario Ceniza Jr. over allegations that he received money linked to anomalous flood control projects.
Clavio personally filed the complaint before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, Oct. 14, accompanied by his lawyers.
In an Instagram post, Clavio said he was taking legal action to defend his name and credibility, stressing that he stood by the truth.
“Today, I stand for the truth,” Clavio wrote. “In filing this cyberlibel case, I stand firm in defending my name and credibility” (Sa paghahain ko ng cyberlibel case, naninindigan akong ipaglaban ang aking pangalan at kredibilidad).
“Today, the truth will be triumphant,” he added, thanking GMA Network and his supporters for their trust.
The complaint stemmed from allegations made by Ceniza, who reportedly identified himself as a bodyguard of former House Speaker Zaldy Co during a June 2026 press conference organized by former Anakalusugan party-list representative Mike Defensor.
During the event, Ceniza accused several personalities, including media figures and celebrities, of allegedly benefiting from the supposed flood control project scam.
He also named Clavio, claiming he had delivered cash to the broadcaster in a brown paper bag. Clavio has denied the allegation.
Clavio said his decision to file the complaint was not intended to seek revenge against Ceniza but to address what he described as disinformation that had seriously damaged his name and reputation.
