Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz is delighted over his growing relationship with the support.

Havertz proved the matchwinner against Brentford on Saturday.

As a kid, I think you dream that you're going to have moments like this in your career and today I had something like this," he told arsenal.com. [The supporters] made it very special to me and I'm very thankful to have this moment. Thank you to all of them."

On the fans, Havertz said: You always hope for that. I know maybe it wasn't from the beginning but I always try to work hard and just doesn't drop my confidence. I just give my best every game and I did it so I'm happy now that I've had some of those moments now.

I'm very delighted, it was a big game for us. To play in these games and win it at the end is always very nice and it was a great feeling."

On the goal, he added: I was just hoping that Ben (White) would find me and it was a very nice cross. I was very free in the box and then obviously also a bit lucky with the goalkeeper but it was a very nice assist from Ben.

I'm happy but I always want to become better and better. I know football always goes up and down and one week you're the hero and the next week not, so I just try to work hard and keep the momentum going to help the team."
