Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has claimed they will have to wait a few days to learn about the extent of winger Gabriel Martinelli's potential absence.
The young attacker had to come off early in the first half in a 3-0 loss to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.
The Gunners' faint title hopes were all but buried by the Albion, as they were humbled at the Emirates Stadium.
"We don't know," Arteta said to reporters.
"He's in a boot at the moment. He was very uncomfortable, and he could not carry on playing.
We need to scan him and see the extent of that injury."
