Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta expects a "special atmosphere" at Liverpool tomorrow night.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp was critical of the home support in midweek.
But Arteta said: "It is going to be a special atmosphere for both teams and it is strong opposition. We will prepare to win it and go for it - it will be an intense match.
"It is always great to be in the highest position in this league and we will try to maintain that, but we have to be intelligent to manage the game."
On why Klopp made comments about the Anfield atmosphere, he added: "I don't know - that is a question for him [Jurgen Klopp]. We have to prepare to play and be better than them and focus on our supporters - they will always support the team.
"I have to think about the team and we are preparing to win it.
"Last time we beat them (at Anfield in 2012) was a while ago and it was a good moment, which is something we can replicate tomorrow.
"Every game is different, every game is prepared in a different way. The atmosphere is different and we have experienced what we did last year [2-2 draw at Anfield] and there is a lot of things we can replicate and other things we have to do better.
"There is nothing like playing, but there is something about managing and you feel the cohesion about the players."
