Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has promoted Gabriel Jesus to the squad's leadership group.
The Athletic says Gabriel Jesus and veteran Granit Xhaka have been handed leadership roles by Arteta.
The Gunners have started the season with maximum points behind new captain Martin Odegaard.
And Arteta has nominated Jesus as well as Xhaka to support Odegaard in guiding the squad this season.
The pair will make up the core of the North Londoners' leadership group with the Norway international as captain
