Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says Fabio Vieira could make the squad for tonight's Premier League opener at Crystal Palace.
The former Porto midfielder signed this summer injured and has missed preseason.
However, Vieira took part in training this week and Arteta said yesterday: "Three out of four of those players [Takehiro Tomiyasu, Emile Smith Rowe, Kieran Tierney, Vieira] are going to be training this afternoon.
"If everything goes well, they will be available for selection and in the squad.
"Hopefully, we can start to recover because they've been missing a lot of minutes and time in pre-season and they are really important players for us."
