Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is delighted with the early impact of Declan Rice.
The former West Ham captain has enjoyed a superb start to his Gunners career.
Arteta said: "Obviously, we always hoped his transition would be smooth and fast but the reality can be different.
"In this case, I think he has been really positive. He has found it really easy, he understood the team and our way of playing really fast so it's going well for him."
Meanwhile, Arteta says chief exec Vinai Venkatesham still has work to do before he leaves in June.
Venkatesham originally hired Arteta and the manager said: "He has been here 14 years and he has the right to make that call [to leave].
"He thinks it's best for himself and his family. I've enjoyed working with him and I wish him the best, but I think he'll have a lot more to do before the end of the season."
