Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta admits they need to be careful with Eddie Nketiah.

Nketiah is currently Arsenal's only fit striker.

Ahead of their Carabao Cup tie at West Ham, Arteta said: "We have to be conscious with the amount of minutes he plays because he has started a lot of games in the Premier League.

"But I think in terms of how we have utilised him, I think he is fresh and in a really good moment.

"When players are like this they have to be used. Whether that is from the start or on the bench, we will see."

On Gabriel Jesus' recovery, he said: "With him, honestly I'm not going to put any [return date on it] because I did it once and got it totally wrong. We need to be cautious because we need to treat him in the right way, but he's already pushing everybody. He wants to be back as quick as possible and we need him, so that's great."

On Thomas Partey's injury, he added: "I think he will be out for weeks. I don't know how long. He has another appointment today. We will see after that. It's a big concern because when Thomas is fit and available we see the results and impact he has on the team."
