Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admits last season's failed title challenge taught him a lot.

The Gunners have made shrewd signings in the summer and are mounting another Premier League title charge.

While they are not favorites, with Manchester City and Liverpool also involved, Arteta says his side will be smarter in the run in this time around.

He told reporters: What I said is the most important thing to impact at the end of the season is that we have the full squad available. That's requirement number one.

At the moment we don't have it and we're going to have to have it and we're working to have it. This is requirement one. Two, three, four, if we don't have it it's going to be difficult. If we don't have it we have a good chance but I think it's going to be difficult."

Pressed on whether he can win a league without a fully fit squad, he added: No I'm not saying that. I'm just saying that it's going to be more difficult.

When you have two or three players in certain positions you can always vary and change it. But there are certain critical positions where it becomes more difficult."
