Arsenal have launched a bid for Flamengo sensation Matheus Franca.
The Gunners have been among major European clubs keen on the 19 year-old.
And local journalist Artur Petrosyan is reporting Arsenal chief Edu has tabled a 15m cash offer for Franca in recent days.
Newcastle and Crystal Palace have also been interested in Franca.
However, Edu hopes to steal a march with an early offer to Fla, having had scouts posted to watch Franca during their past Copa Libertadores campaign.
