Arsenal could offload Nicolas Pepe back to France this summer.

The winger has been an abject failure since signing for the Gunners from Lille for a club record fee in 2019.

He netted 23 goals in France before moving to Arsenal, but it took him two years to match that total with the Gunners.

The Ivory Coast international is not first choice at Arsenal, and the club are hoping to sign another right-winger before the transfer window closes.

According to FootMercato, there is a chance that Pepe goes back to Ligue 1.

Nice have registered an interest in his signature on loan.

While Arsenal would prefer a permanent sale, a loan may give Pepe the chance to resurrect his career and attract suitors next summer.
