Arsenal cult hero Nicklas Bendtner has recalled missing a move to Crystal Palace.
He said that shortly before his move to Wolfsburg in 2014, he was actually about to end up at Palace.
"There is something decisive in the Wolfsburg situation that unfolded. Had it not been part of, it would have been different," the now retired striker told Offside.
"The change I should have had should have been to Crystal Palace. Then I had done a 3-year (agreement) there and could've remained in England.
"The agreement was actually in place five days before, but Arsenal could not find a replacement. So Wenger (Arsene) is really just saying coldly that as long as we can't find a replacement, you will have to stay here."
