Nwaneri made his debut as a 15 year-old last season, a record for the Premier League.
The London Evening Standard says with his schoolboy deal to expire today, Nwaneri is now ready to sign a scholarship contract.
It will mean Nwaneri will be clear to sign a pro contract with Arsenal in a year's time.
