Arsenal have decided against registering Jurrien Timber for the Champions League.
Timber is recovering from knee surgery after an opening day injury.
The Holland defender isn't expected to be back in action until the New Year.
He will almost certainly be added to the squad in January should the North London side make it through to the knockout stage and he suffer no setbacks.
In his place are 18 year-old Lino Sousa and veteran fellow fullback Cedric Sousa.
