Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta does admit there may be issues with the Bodo/Glimt pitch.
The Norwegian club has an artificial turf, which is a challenge for players who are used to playing on regular grass.
Some experts also believe that such pitches can cause injuries, especially when you take into account the fatigue that players are regularly experiencing due to the busy schedule.
Asked about the pitch, given AS Roma lost away to Bodo/Glimt 6-1 last season, Arteta told reporters during a press conference: “What we are thinking is how we are going to win the game.
“How we win every three days. In different conditions, in different contexts, in different weather, in different competitions. That is the only way we are approaching the game.
He added on the pitch being an advantage for the home side: “We don't know. A player can get injured on an artificial pitch, in a training session. We have done what he have to do to try to protect the players as much as we can, but at the end of the day tomorrow for sure we have 11 players on the pitch."
