Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has insisted his team do not set out to waste time in matches.
The Gunners rocked up to St. James' Park and beat Newcastle United 2-0 on Sunday.
Post-game, Newcastle players accused Arsenal of time wasting later in the game to see out the result.
"For sure, our team is not like that," Arteta told reporters when asked the question.
When further pushed on midfielder Granit Xhaka often going down for extended periods in the game, Arteta added: "I don't even want to get close to that conversation with the game we had to play."
Arsenal remain in the Premier League title race, while Newcastle are still third in the league.
