Arsenal are prepared to cut short Marcelo Flores' loan with Segunda Division Real Oviedo.

The 18-year-old Mexico international joined the La Liga 2 side for a temporary spell this summer, but has started just two games for the club.

Record says to make matters worse, Oviedo are struggling for form, having won just two of their opening seven matches while scoring just three goals.

And Arsenal don't appear happy at Flores' plight and will have no issues cancelling his loan deal to find him a different club in the New Year.

Flores made it onto the bench for the Arsenal first-team last season for their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in April.
