Arsenal are hoping to secure the signature of Southampton starlet Romeo Lavia this summer.
The Gunners are in the market for a new defensive midfielder after the departure of Granit Xhaka.
While they are in the market for Declan Rice of West Ham, Lavia may also join as a rotation option.
Per The Independent, Lavia is emerging as their second midfield target, ahead of Brighton's Moises Caicedo.
The 19-year-old is more realistic from a financial perspective, given Southampton's relegation.
However, there will likely be plenty of interest in Lavia from other clubs in the Premier League.
