The Brazilian Under-23 international signed in the summer of 2022 from Sao Paulo on a long-term deal.
However, he has not been in the first team picture for some time under boss Mikel Arteta.
Per French outlet L'quipe, the youngster has not been given the game time he was expected to see at Nantes.
Arsenal are now in talks to release him from that loan and to send him to another team.
Marquinhos will be hoping that he can find a team where he can play every week.
