Manchester United face a battle if they want to land a young Brazilian star this summer.
According to Brazilian newspaper O Dia, the Red Devils and Arsenal are both contending for the signature of Wolves midfielder Joo Gomes.
The Mirror had previously reported on United's interest in the Brazil international.
Gomes has been outstanding in the Premier League this season after arriving at Wolves last summer.
He is already made such progress that the country's best clubs are taking a look at him.
Arsenal are hoping to add midfield depth, while United would see him as a regular starter next season.
