Arsenal have sent scouts to the Africa Cup of Nations to watch a potential new signing.

Fans have been treated to great games at AFCON recently, including a shock when DR Congo defeated Egypt on penalties.

Per Portuguese outlet A Bola, Arsenal scouts have been taking in games involving the Ivory Coast.

They are assessing 20-year-old Ousmane Diomande, a huge defensive talent who is seen as one of the best players in his age group.

Sporting CP defender Diomande only made his debut internationally in September, but is already a key player.

He will be involved later on Monday in Ivory Coast's round of 16 clash against Senegal.
