Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz has been long-term target for Arsenal, it has been revealed.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano states Luiz has been on Arsenal's radar for two years.
Romano reports Luiz is "top target" for the club, and Gunners manager Mikel Arteta "really want and appreciate" the Brazilian.
Luiz is said to be regarded as the "perfect midfielder," while his "many different factors" make him "top of the list" for Arteta.
Romano also says Luiz is being "discussed internally" but it remains to be seen whether they will tempt Villa with a significant offer.
