Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was delighted with their thumping win against the MLS Allstars today.
Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring after just five minutes, with Leandro Trossard, Jorginho, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz also on the scoresheet.
Afterwards, Arteta beamed: "It was a great occasion and a great atmosphere. It was great to see so many Arsenal supporters filling the stadium. We had some great moments in the game and some moments, especially in the first-half that weren't that great, but we're still very early in pre-season and it was great to see some debuts with Jurrien (Timber), Auston (Trusty) and Declan (Rice) obviously, and I was really pleased in the end with the result.
"We are a massive club and we've had a tremendous impact in world football and it's great to see that whatever city you're in you have support. We had people waiting for us in the hotel and it was great to see that today. I'm sure we're going to go to New York and it's going to be very similar, and we're going to LA as well, so I think it's great for the boys to realise where they are and how privileged they are to represent this football club. Thank you to all of them for being here and giving their support to the team."
On goalscorer Havertz, he added: "I think, again, it's one of the main qualities he has. He gives us something very different with his quality and size as well, when you have to beat the press for example and use him as a target man. So, we will see for now, he's playing in the attacking midfield position, but I'm sure throughout the season and throughout games as well, we're going to have the options to play him in different positions."
