Tucked opposite the University Hospital in Petaling Jaya, Artha’s Kitchen stands as a proud, flavour-packed tribute to Malaysia’s multiracial culinary heritage.
In a food scene often ruled by fleeting trends, Artha’s Kitchen shines through with authenticity, resilience, and heart—proving that when faith meets flavour, magic truly happens.
Every dish tells a story. Each plate masterfully weaves Indian, Malay, and Chinese influences into a single, soulful dining experience. In the true spirit of Malaysian togetherness, the kitchen offers an array of signature dishes—each one a heartfelt love letter to the nation’s diverse palate.
Among the highlights is the aromatic Indian classic Satti Sorru, a claypot rice dish prepared with generations-old, home-style recipes that evoke warmth and nostalgia. Equally irresistible is the quintessential Malay favourite, Nasi Lemak, complete with fiery sambal ikan bilis that awakens the senses. For those seeking comfort, the Chi Ku Teh (Chicken Herbal Soup) offers a soothing embrace of traditional Chinese herbs, slow-cooked to perfection.
But the story of Artha’s Kitchen is about more than food—it’s a living testament to passion, perseverance, and the unshakable determination of Anna Maria, the visionary behind the flavours.
For years, Anna climbed the corporate ladder, rising from Human Resources executive to team leader. Yet, her true calling was always in the kitchen, crafting dishes that celebrated Malaysia’s rich cultural tapestry.
Her defining moment came when Krishna Kumar, better known as Malaysian Indian rap sensation Psychomantra—famed for his record-breaking 12 million YouTube views and hit track Dhrogam—discovered Anna’s culinary talent. Recognising her untapped brilliance, Psychomantra offered her a chance to helm the kitchen at Lastcall Bar in Jalan Telawi, Bangsar.
That spark of faith reignited Anna’s purpose, and soon after, Artha’s Kitchen was born four years ago. What began as a humble dream has since blossomed into a celebrated culinary brand—and today, Artha’s Kitchen proudly stands as a fine dining restaurant in Petaling Jaya, serving heartfelt flavours that unite tradition with innovation.
“Food has always been about bringing people together,” Anna says with a smile.
Today, her kitchen features more than 100 dishes—each bursting with flavour and personality. Diners can indulge in seafood shellouts brimming with crab, prawns, snapper fish, squid, and mussels cooked in bold, spicy curry. The Family Feast is another crowd favourite, featuring succulent chicken and mutton varuval, while the special Remix Platter combines both meats in a mouthwatering medley. For the ultimate indulgence, the MegaMix unites all these elements—seafood, chicken, and mutton—into one glorious, flavour-rich spread.
And the menu doesn’t stop there. Artha’s also serves up Western delights, Mexican bites, juicy burgers, and oven-fresh pizzas—ensuring there’s something to satisfy every craving and every heart.
In keeping with its spirit of growth and innovation, Artha’s next venture will be the launch of its own frozen food line in December, bringing the taste of home-cooked warmth to households nationwide.
Open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight (closed on Mondays), Artha’s Kitchen welcomes guests for everything from intimate dinners and business lunches to birthday celebrations and even marriage registration parties.
As Krishna Kumar (Psychomantra)—partnered with Anna and V. Deson—puts it, “Artha’s Kitchen is more than a restaurant; it’s a warm, vibrant space where food, friendship, and faith come together.”
