
Malaysian football fans will get the chance to see the ASEAN Hyundai Cup trophy up close when the regional showpiece makes its Kuala Lumpur stop during the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 9 — The ASEAN Hyundai Cup™ 2026 Trophy Tour will arrive in Kuala Lumpur this week as preparations continue for the region’s premier football tournament, which celebrates its 30th anniversary later this year.
The iconic trophy will be displayed at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 from June 12 to 15 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
Football fans and exhibition visitors will have the opportunity to view the coveted silverware at Hyundai’s exhibition area ahead of the tournament, which will run from July 24 to Aug 26.
The Trophy Tour is part of a regional promotional campaign leading up to the ASEAN championship, with the trophy travelling across several Southeast Asian nations before the competition kicks off.
Visitors to Hyundai’s booth can also participate in a range of interactive activities, including football-themed games, photo opportunities with the trophy and test drives featuring the company’s latest mobility innovations.
The Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2026 Media Day will take place on June 11.
Exhibition hours will run from 10am to 8pm on June 11 and June 15, while visitors can attend from 10am to 10pm on June 12, 13 and 14.
Following its stop in Malaysia, the Trophy Tour will continue to Ho Chi Minh City on July 18 before heading to Jakarta on July 25.
The trophy will also be showcased at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 in Tangerang across selected dates between late July and early August.
Defending champions Vietnam will be looking to retain the title after defeating Thailand 5-3 on aggregate in the previous final.
The 2026 edition marks a significant milestone for Southeast Asian football as the tournament celebrates three decades since its inaugural staging.
