Kota Kinabalu: The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) region is poised to become the world’s third-largest economy by 2030, provided it can effectively curb plastic pollution, said Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.
Emphasising the urgency of the issue and its broader implications, he said the Government remains committed to addressing plastic pollution, a growing threat to marine ecosystems, not only in Sabah but across Asean.
