Ashley Phillips was delighted to make his U21 debut for Tottenham on Saturday.
The summer arrival from Blackburn Rovers featured in Spurs' 4-1 win against Newcastle.
The England youth defender told the Spurs website: "It's really good to make my debut it was a great result and all the boys did well.
The match was really enjoyable everyone played well, defensively we were strong, it's just a shame that we didn't get the clean sheet in the end, although four goals, you can't complain about that.
We scored some really good goals when we beat their press we ended up getting shots off, so it was a really good performance tactically."
