The Killianwali police have arrested an ASI, a retired Home Guard, and an orchestra operator for allegedly attempting to sexually harass and assault a girl associated with an orchestra group.
According to the complaint lodged by the victim, orchestra conductor Surinder Kumar allegedly called her on the pretext of getting her work. She alleged that when she reached the spot, ASI Jarnail Singh, retired Home Guard Gurnath Singh, and orchestra operator Surinder Kumar were already present. They allegedly attempted to molest and assault her when she resisted their advances.
Inspector Karamjit Kaur, SHO of the Killianwali police station, said, “A case has been registered against the three accused based on the victim’s statement. The incident occurred on Sunday. They were arrested on Monday and sent to judicial custody by the court.”
The arrested ASI was also posted at the Killianwali police station.
