
KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has detained an assistant district education officer for allegedly abusing his position to appoint his nephew's company in a school canteen tender.
The male suspect in his 40s was detained at the Sandakan MACC office at about 11am, Monday.
It was learnt that the suspect had allegedly used his position to obtain a school canteen tender worth approximately RM50,000 for a period of three years to a company owned by his nephew between December 2015 and November 2018.
