KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has arrested another Sabah assemblyman suspected of soliciting and receiving bribes totalling RM150,000 related to mining licence applications.
The man, in his 40s and serving as an Assistant Minister, was detained around 9.30am today while giving a statement at the MACC Sabah office.
Investigations revealed that the alleged offences occurred between 2023 and 2024 and involved a payment from a businessman with a Datuk title.
